Morzine
In Summer

Summer in Morzine is one of the most beautiful places in the world to be. Hikers make their way up mountains that stretch up towards bright blue skies, passing mountain goats and fields full of wildflowers.

Families swim and play in sparkling Lake Montriond, having barbecues by the shore before heading into the woods to make the most of the playground built among the trees. Cyclists curve around the twisting mountain roads, breathing in the crisp, fresh air and taking in the views over Morzine’s picture-perfect chocolate box chalets below.

Morzine is known for its mountain biking, and events in the area include the Mountain Biking World Cup, as well as Le Tour de France, live music at Harley Days festival, and the chance to watch some of the toughest humans in the world take on the gruelling Spartan event. Our team knows the area inside out and can make the very best suggestions for your summer in Morzine. We’ve also hand-picked the most incredible self-catered chalets for your exclusive use, complete with our 24-hour concierge service. If you’d like catering during your stay, please ask us for details.

Morzine is located in the French Alps in the south-east of France, close to the Switzerland border. Morzine is about an hour and 15 minutes away by car from Geneva Airport in Switzerland. Lake Geneva is just 45 minutes away. It is a beautiful and traditional alpine village with modern touches, including a great outdoor swimming pool complex, mountain luge and world-class mountain biking and hiking.

The nearest airport to Morzine is Geneva Airport over the border in Switzerland. The transfer time is approximately one hour and 15 minutes. If you are staying with Hunter Chalets, our concierge team can arrange private or group airport transfers for you.

An alternative airport is Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport in France. However, bear in mind that the transfer time takes around two hours and 30 minutes. We recommend arranging a private transfer for your comfort, as public transport or coaches are likely to take twice as long.
