O Chalet
Good for: burgers and crepes
O Chalet is in the centre of Morzine, tucked just behind the Tibetan Cafe. It’s great for quick, more affordable grub and a short walk from the Pleney lift. It’s a favourite of seasonaires and local workers, so pull up a chair and join in! The team is full of charisma (check out their social media videos) and they will welcome you in. The menu is packed full of every kind of burger you can imagine, curly fries, waffles, crepes and more. Big screens show sports and there are two big long tables if you are travelling in a group. It gets very busy, and isn’t huge inside, so you may have to wait for a table, but it’s worth it. O Chalet has opened a branch in Les Gets, too.

Cuisine Kamado
Good for: Asian takeaway (and cakes)
Come out of the Pleney lift and start to walk down the hill and you’ll see Kamado Kitchen on your right, before you cross at the lights. The restaurant is tiny and only seats a few people, but the window onto the street is often open and taking orders for takeaways. The Pan-Asian cuisine is so tasty (and pretty), with a choice of Asian street food classics and Western favourites with a twist. Think ramen, Pad Thai, katsu curry and more. The menu is seasonal, so be sure to check out their social media for an up-to-date menu. Kamado Kitchen also serves speciality coffee and a delicious selection of cakes. If you want to eat in, we recommend making a reservation. Or order it as a takeaway and head back to your cosy chalet. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Good for: an elegant dinner
While holidaying in the French Alps, it would be remiss not to sample the traditional French dishes of the region. La Grange has got you covered with its Savoyard menu and family-friendly atmosphere. Order a decadent fondue for your group and dunk chunks of bread into a heated pot of melted cheese. Or why not get a slice of melted raclette for the table? They also serve delicious steaks, seafood and a ‘plat du jour’ with an impressive French wine list. Save room for dessert as they are heavenly. On warmer days, you can sit outside on the terrace under a parasol and if you’re feeling chilly, you can book a table by the fire inside.

Good for: families and big groups
Le Colibri (meaning hummingbird in French) is a modern bistro cafe with a huge menu. It is a great place to go for a hearty breakfast and brunch before you hit the slopes or lunch and dinner afterwards. It’s a large venue so it’s suitable for families (there’s a play area in the corner) and big groups, although you can still make a reservation if you want a guaranteed table. Le Colibri’s menu features comfort food with a gourmet twist. Tuck into burgers and club sandwiches, eat healthily with Buddha bowls and salads and choose from a wide selection of drinks, coffees and cocktails.

Good for: steak lovers
Calling steak lovers! La Rotonde is a family-run traditional French restaurant serving up a delectable menu of regional specialities, including steak. There are salads, fish dishes and a dedicated gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian menu so everyone is taken care of here. It has a large wine list to match. Inside, the decor is modern with a rustic edge. There is a garden to enjoy the sunshine and an enclosed heated terrace which is ideal for big groups. The family also own L’Étale, a cosy restaurant with a gourmet menu just steps from the Pleney slopes.

If one person in your group wants fondue but the rest of you don’t feel like it, what do you do? La Flamme has solved that problem by serving up dishes in individual portions. The newly renovated restaurant has a varied menu packed with traditional French Alpine favourites including raclette, fondue and tartiflette, alongside a great pizza menu and burgers. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. The restaurant is next to the Super Morzine bubble, so you can glide down the mountain and straight to dinner. We recommend booking a table to secure your spot.

Besoin d'une pause fromage ? Hideout est une auberge de jeunesse qui dispose d'un restaurant interne spécialisé dans la cuisine de rue asiatique. Tout le monde peut s'y rendre et déguster un menu inspiré de la cuisine de rue de Ho Chi Minh, Osaka, Jakarta et Séoul. Les plats vont des gyozas et du poulet frit au pho et à la poitrine de porc braisée. Des options végétariennes sont disponibles. Commandez une sélection de plats à partager avec votre groupe et accompagnez-les d'une ou deux tournées de cocktails. Le restaurant est ouvert de 16 heures à 22 heures tous les jours. Bec Jaune is a microbrewery and restaurant located a short walk from Pleney gondola. It’s known for its intriguing collection of stouts, ales and IPAs but its food should get your attention, too. With a penchant for Asian-inspired fermentation techniques, Bec Jaune’s Asian-Savoie fusion cuisine features beef burgers with kimchi and ramen seasoned with misos and shoyu fermented on the premises. The restaurant has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, plus long tables for groups.

La Chaudanne propose une cuisine française savoureuse et raffinée. Situé dans la rue principale, à proximité de la remontée mécanique de Super Morzine, le restaurant présente un extérieur de style chalet, de grandes fenêtres à panneaux et des sièges confortables à l'intérieur. Avant de vous asseoir pour manger, descendez les marches jusqu'à la cave où vous trouverez un bar à vin souterrain avec plus de 350 vins à choisir pour l'apéritif. Une fois votre palais réchauffé, retournez au restaurant pour déguster d'appétissantes spécialités savoyardes, dont la fondue et la raclette. Tremplin is an iconic spot in Morzine for apres ski and curing rumbling stomachs. Located next to the Pleney ski lift and overlooking the Pleney slopes, you can ski right up to the hotel restaurant and be seated for a lunch in the sunshine. Le Tremplin has a large outdoor terrace with plenty of seating. It hosts regular apres ski parties with live DJ sets here from 4pm to 8pm. Dine on gourmet burgers, paninis and sharing platters. The brasserie inside serves an all-day breakfast, as well as Savoyard lunches.

Restaurant Bertine at Hotel Neve is a Hunter Chalets staff favourite! The staff are super attentive, and the team serves up traditional French dishes served in a modern style. There’s also a fantastic cocktail lounge. Also noted for having a kids’ play area just off the dining room.

L’Etale
Good for: huge pizzas!
L’Etale is a super relaxed and fun restaurant. There’s much more on offer than pizzas (which are huge). There’s also dishes such as fish soup or snails for starters, Savoyard specialities, steaks and pasta dishes.

L’Improviste
Good for: takeaway pizzas!
L’Improviste is a tiny little pizzeria located close to the Mairie de Morzine and Dixie Bar. It has a wood-fired oven that creates delicious pizzas for eating in or to take away. If you decide to eat in, book early as tables are limited.
