Chalet Joy is a sensational new four-bedroom duplex penthouse apartment on the edge of the slopes, with a ski-in / ski-out location depending on snowfall and skiing ability. You’ll find the property on the Route des Nants, a 15-minute walk from Morzine’s bars and restaurants, or a two-minute drive away from the centre of town.

The Retour des Nants – a blue downhill ski trail – runs behind Chalet Joy, so you can navigate off the trail and across a small, sloped field to access the side of the apartment building. Alternatively, drive into the centre of Morzine to catch the Pleney or Super Morzine gondolas, giving you easy access to ski in Morzine and Les Gets, as well as the higher resort of Avoriaz.

Inside Chalet Joy, you’ll find a beautiful vaulted open-plan living space. Floor-to-ceiling windows let the light stream across the lounge, dining area and modern bespoke kitchen, which has a large central island and built-in wine fridge. Sip pre-dinner drinks at the breakfast bar while preparing a meal and dine together around the big table, which can seat 12 people.

Unwind in front of the feature wood-burning stove listening to the Sonos sound system, or cosy up on the sofa watching TV or the skiers zipping along the slopes as they head towards the centre of town. From the lounge, you can step out onto the south-facing balcony and enjoy a glass of vin chaud in the winter or al fresco dining in the summer.

On the other side of the lounge, there is another balcony that has spectacular panoramic views over the village and towards Avoriaz. After a long day on the slopes, you can slide into the huge hot tub and spend some quality time simply watching the clouds roll across the mountain tops with a cold drink in your hand.

This level is also home to the master suite, which has a stunning open-plan bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath. The master suite has two balconies, so you can wake up to glorious mountain views or enjoy a private, peaceful spot to watch the sunset. There are two additional bedrooms with king-sized beds on this floor, which can be converted into twin beds. Both have an en-suite shower room.
