The Farmhouse is the oldest building in Morzine, built in 1771, and it is full of character and charm. On the outside, the building is a stunning stone-walled house with white wooden shutters. We have kept many of the original features and the size of the house makes it perfect for exclusive weddings. British-owned and operated for over 30 years, The Farmhouse is managed with English charm and hospitality, offering a personalised service with high standards.

Wedding couples have exclusive use of The Farmhouse and gardens for up to 120 guests, so you and your guests can take over the whole venue.

Where is The Farmhouse located in Morzine?

The Farmhouse is located in the heart of Morzine, overlooking the beautiful church with stunning views up towards Avoriaz. We are a five-minute walk from the Tourist Office in the very centre of Morzine.

Tell us about a wedding ceremony. Where will it take place?

The wedding ceremony can take place on our beautiful front lawn, just in front of our flourishing vegetable garden. It is known as the best wedding location as it has breathtaking views up towards Avoriaz. The stunning surroundings and views at The Farmhouse certainly help set the romantic mood. We have a very relaxed, yet professional, vibe and many of our guests feel like they are staying somewhere that feels like a “home from home”.

What months can you get married at The Farmhouse in France?

We open for the summer season from July to the end of August, and our winter season runs from mid-December to mid-April, so you can get married in both summer and winter. Depending on the time of year, you can choose between a reception in our stone-walled dining hall or a party on the lawn.

What do couples need to arrange or does The Farmhouse provide everything?

We are involved in every aspect of the wedding, so wedding couples can rely on The Farmhouse team to organise everything for them. For larger parties, we set up a beautiful marquee in the garden. Formal or informal, quirky or vintage, we will ensure the decoration, music, food and drink suit your chosen theme. Each and every wedding is very different, and we are extremely flexible with all aspects of the wedding.

Are couples required to make a booking far in advance?

We do get booked up quickly, so the sooner you can finalise your dates, the better.

How many people does the wedding venue hold and cater for?

During the summer months, we can cater for up to 120 guests. If you have 50 guests or more, we recommend using a stretch tent in our garden for the wedding breakfast. This provides cover from the elements and ample space for a dance floor. We organise the stretch tent for you. We have rooms at The Farmhouse but Hunter Chalets also has chalets in Morzine close to the venue for your wedding guests.

Can the wedding venue arrange flowers?

We have close ties with some excellent florists, so will put you in touch with the experts.

What are the facilities like at The Farmhouse?

We have three beautiful gardens, a lovely bar and sitting room, 11 bedrooms and two dining rooms. The dining rooms are perfect for the dance floor and evening buffet area. All the catering for each wedding is done in-house and we offer every possible drink option combination!

Is it a legal ceremony?

We can hold the ceremony on our beautiful front lawn at The Farmhouse. Due to French laws, most guests are legally married elsewhere and choose to have a symbolic ceremony with family and friends here.
