Les Gets ski area opens

The linked Les Gets and Morzine ski area is due to partially open on Saturday 13 December 2025 for a pre-opening week, depending on snow conditions. The Les Gets ski area will open continuously from Saturday 20 December 2025 through to Sunday 12 April 2026. Please note, during the final weeks of the season some sections of the ski area may close depending on snow conditions. Depending on snowfall, the Les Gets lift network may open on weekends before or after these dates to extend the season. All opening and closing dates are subject to change.

Winter Trail
Les Gets

New to 2025, the Les Gets Winter Trail challenges runners of all abilities to compete and discover the beautiful winter scenery of Les Gets and it’s surrounding area. There are 4 courses available for the kids starting in the late afternoon, and 2 courses for adults which both commence in the evening. One course is 10km, while the other is 20km. A post-race meal made in Les Gets will round off this debut event in style.

Les Gets Comedie
Les Gets
29 January – 4 February 2026
A host of leading French and British stand-up comedians are set to perform at Les Gets Comedie this winter. Set at the Salle de la Colombière performance hall in Les Gets, live comedy will take place every night scheduled for 8:30 – 10pm, with the last day for English speakers. Maisie Adams, Joe Wilkinson, Jake Lambert and Zoe Lyons will perform on this date.

Gets Les Cannes
Les Gets

Gets Les Cannes is back for its second edition this winter. The race is open to everyone and allows you to discover the night-time scenery of Les Gets and the surrounding area. The aim is to raise awareness of the risks involved in ski touring, and to help beginners enjoy this activity in complete safety. Organised by ESF and Wetzayers association, this is a fun 4km ascent with a friendly atmosphere guaranteed.

New Years Eve
Les Gets
Wednesday 31 December 2025 from 4.30 pm to 9 pm
New Years Eve in Les Gets is magical. The order of the evening includes: a concert for the whole family, greetings from the mayor, a torchlight procession by ESF, fireworks in the village (at 6pm local time) followed by a DJ again for the whole family. A Champagne bar will also be available to toast to this promising new year together.

Rock the Pistes Festival
Les Portes du Soleil
15-21 March 2026
Can you imagine a more perfect setting for a festival than the slopes of the Portes du Soleil ski area? Well, each March, Rock the Pistes arrives in the area and offers exactly that! Holidaymakers are invited to use their snow boots as dancing shoes and enjoy incredible live music in a spectacular setting. Even better, the gigs are free, you just need to purchase a lift pass to reach the venue. The past line-up for Rock The Pistes has included Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Klaxons and Babyshambles.
