Chalet Joy is a new four-bedroom duplex penthouse apartment on the edge of the slopes, around three minutes by car from the centre of Morzine.

You’ll find the property on the Route des Nants, close to the FYS and Telesiege du Pre Favre chairlifts. When you want to hike or ski in the mountains, you’ll have the choice of heading into town and catching the Pleney or Super Morzine gondolas, or these lesser-used, more traditional chairlifts.

The Retour des Nants, a green downhill ski trail, runs behind Chalet Joy, so you can navigate off the trail and across a small field to access the side of the apartment building. Alternatively, Chalet Joy is a 15-minute walk or 3-minute car ride from the centre of town. If you are staying during winter without a car, we highly recommend taking out our on-call 24-hour resort driver service. Our team of drivers are available to take you to the lifts, bars, restaurants and around the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets, day or night. Our team of drivers can also take you to the Prodains and Ardents lifts, so you can easily access Avoriaz.

Watch skiers from the sofa

Inside Chalet Joy, you’ll find a beautiful vaulted open-plan living space with floor-to-ceiling windows, a lounge, dining area and modern bespoke kitchen with a large central island and built-in wine fridge. The dining table will comfortably seat 12 people, or you can sit at the breakfast bar for informal meals and pre-dinner drinks. Relax in front of the feature wood-burning stove, or cosy-up on the sofa and watch the skiers zipping along the slopes as they head towards the centre of town. The lounge also has a flat-screen TV and Sonos sound system. If you want to be closer to nature, step out onto the south-facing balcony and enjoy a glass of vin chaud in the winter or alfresco dining in the summer.

On the other side of the lounge, there is another large balcony that has spectacular panoramic views over the village and towards Avoriaz. After a long day on the slopes, you can slide into the huge hot tub and spend some quality time simply watching the clouds roll across the mountain tops with a cold drink in your hand.

Master suite with sunset views

This level is also home to the master suite, which has a stunning open-plan bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath. There are two balconies off the master suite, so you can wake up to glorious mountain views or enjoy a private peaceful spot at the end of the day to watch the sunset. There are two additional bedrooms with king-sized beds on this floor, which can be converted into twin beds, both with an en-suite shower room.

Downstairs, you’ll find the entrance lobby, a cinema room, a large family bedroom and a separate bathroom. There is also a laundry area for guests to use. The family bedroom sleeps up to four people and features a king-sized bed (which can also be configured as twins), a bunk bed, WC and a separate shower room. The cosy cinema room – which can act as a fifth bedroom with two sofabeds – is equipped with a large-screen TV, Sonos system, PlayStation 5 and ‘starry sky’ LED ceiling, making it the perfect hang-out for older kids and teens wanting their own space.

Chalet Joy has an underground, lockable double garage with an electric car-charging point, plus a private boot room with heated boot warmers and easy ski storage.
