Le Tremplin
No holiday on the slopes is complete without apres ski at Le Tremplin. Located at the bottom of Pleney slopes, this Morzine institution is next to the gondola, so you can make it your first pitstop after a day on the mountains and ski right up to it. There are daily apres ski parties from 4-8pm. Make the most of the mountain views with live DJ sets and drinks on the spacious terrace bar.

Cavern Bar
Make sure you stop by Cavern Bar at least once for live music and cocktails until the early hours. It’s right in the centre of Morzine and open daily from 4pm-2am, so it’s a handy stop if you want to continue the evening’s entertainment. This Morzine bar hosts at least two live music acts a day, including international performers from 9pm onwards. Book a beer table to get beers flowing on demand without having to order at the bar.

L’Opera Nightclub
If you have a hankering for the dancefloor late at night, L’Opera Nightclub has got you covered. Open from midnight to 5am daily (except Monday), the club gets you moving with a programme of resident and international DJs, as well as fancy dress parties. Expect D&B, Latin & techno house and electro music with smoke machines and light shows to add to the atmosphere. It’s also in the centre of Morzine, making it a good choice if you’re not ready to go home.

Tibetan Cafe
Formally the Buddha Café, Tibetan Cafe is an India-Pakistan-Asia-themed bar in Morzine that plays Rock’n’Roll and live music from 4pm to 2am daily. They also have big screens for sports fans to watch the rugby. Located just two minutes from Pleney gondola, Tibetan Cafe is known for its friendly atmosphere and lively English crowds. Drop in for an apres ski session or dance away the evening to a live DJ. Arrive before 9pm if you want a table.

Le Crépu
Just a short stroll from Pleney gondola is Le Crépu, located on Morzine’s main strip of bars and restaurants. The wooden, chalet-themed bar features large porthole-style windows and a terrace to enjoy a drink. Inside, the bar is long and narrow, serving all your favourite cocktails, beers and snacks. Le Crépu is open from 5pm to 2am all year round. Settle in for an apres-ski session with live music or catch a sports game on the big screen.

Bar Robinson
One of the oldest bars in Morzine, Bar Robinson was established in 1926 and is still owned by the same family. It’s located next to The Dixie Bar on the road heading down to the Mairie de Morzine. The bar is open from 3-9pm daily and serves drinks alongside a tasty snack menu of burgers, wings and loaded nachos. It’s a favourite spot for those wanting a relaxed apres ski with an early night or you can find another bar on the strip if you’re not ready to go home.

The Dixie Bar
The Dixie Bar is an Irish bar close to where the River Dranse flows through Morzine. It’s known for its live music and sports. You can watch a live gig or catch a rugby or football match on the big screens after skiing. The bar brings in a lively British and Irish crowd and its opening hours are from 4pm to 2am daily throughout the year (except May). You’ll find Morzine’s largest selection of drafts, crafts and wines here, too.

Haka Bar
Located close to the Pleney gondola and just off Morzine’s main strip is Haka Bar. The low-key but cheerful establishment has a cosy indoor space and an outdoor area that gets plenty of sunshine. It’s open from 9.30am until midnight daily, so come here for a lunch of burgers (with five different cheeses to choose from!), crepes, street food and salads. Alternatively, drop by in the evening for cold beers and tapas. You can watch sports here, too.

Le Colibri
Le Colibri (meaning ‘The Hummingbird’ in French) is a restaurant near the Pleney gondola. It’s modern and spacious with plenty of seating and a small outdoor area. The venue serves homemade food but you’re still welcome if you just want drinks. They do breakfast until noon and brunch until 3pm. It’s a great choice for families as there’s a small play area for kids in the corner of the restaurant. Tuck into a huge menu featuring hot chocolate, cocktails, craft beers and more. Its opening hours are from 8am to 10pm.

Bec Jaune Brewery
Bec Jaune Brewery is a microbrewery located a short walk from the Pleney gondola. Open from 4pm to 12am daily, it has indoor and outdoor seating with a shabby-chic vibe. Come here for an intriguing selection of ales, stouts, IPAs and a small wine list. More interesting still is its Asian fusion food menu. Enjoy burgers, ramen, teriyaki bowls and snacks made in-house from local ingredients around the Savoie region. They make kimchi, kombucha and miso, too.

La Chaudanne
If you’re a wine connoisseur, make sure you swing by La Chaudanne. At first glance, the venue looks like a restaurant but downstairs you’ll find a wine bar in the cellar. Choose from a list of over 350 wines in a cosy, rustic setting. Think vaulted stone ceilings and varnished wooden furnishings. La Chaudanne is located on the main high street close to the Super Morzine lift and tourism office. It’s open from 6-10pm daily, except for Tuesdays.

Cafe Chaud
Cafe Chaud is a late-night grungey hangout aimed at late teens/early 20s and any other party animal. Located in central Morzine, the nightclub is tucked down a back street near The Grange restaurant. It’s well known for its cheap drinks deals and packed dancefloor. Open 8pm to 2am daily, you can guarantee that there’s always something going on here most nights. Find live DJ sets, punk nights, plus the Morzine Beer Pong Championships on Tuesdays.

Le Local
A favourite among seasonaires, Le Local is less than a 10-minute walk from the Super Morzine lifts. The restaurant and bar serves local and international fare. You can find a well-stocked bar serving locally-brewed and imported beers alongside wines, spirits and cocktails. The food menu is BBQ-style with a roast on Sundays and a variety of vegan/vegetarian options. Open from 4pm to midnight Tuesday to Sunday, it’s a welcoming spot for a drink or two after the slopes.

IBEX Brewery at The Wood Yard
IBEX Brewery at The Wood Yard is a brewery taproom on the outskirts of Montriond and best reached by car. To get there from Morzine, follow the road through Montriond and keep going towards St Jean D’Aulps. If you are staying with Hunter Chalets during winter, you can add our on-call 24-hour driver service and ask the drivers to drop you off and pick you up! Although not central, this lively establishment has 10 beers brewed on site to choose from, alongside a top-notch wine list. Drinks are available from 3pm daily and designated drivers can get a free soft drink. Every Thursday night, there is a brewery tour and beer tasting. Call to book!

La Folie Douce
One of the best places to indulge in apres ski fun is La Folie Douce. Although it is not in Morzine, it is highly worth a mention. It’s located on the plateau in Avoriaz and you can get there by catching the Super Morzine or Prodains lift up to Avoriaz. It’s open every day from 9am to 6pm during the ski season. Enjoy themed parties and music by international DJs, plus exclusive access to the VIP terrace. Highlights include live singers and dancers and Champagne delivered in a box over the crowd’s heads!

Le 19.38 Bistrot
Open from 9am to 10pm daily, Le 19.38 Bistrot is the place to go for a relaxed drink in the centre of town. The outdoor terrace overlooks the main square in Morzine and is just opposite the tourist office. Sit back and watch people milling about the main square, which is often the focus point for events in Morzine, such as the Spartan tough sports challenge, live music, family events, ice-skating and meet-and-greets with Santa.
